Denali

Early the next morning I headed out to take a horseback ride.

I've been on horseback rides several times throughout my life. This was the first time I was asked to wear a helmet. I would have had to sign a waiver if I chose not to wear one. It was for my safety, so I chose to wear the helmet. To me, it didn't have any affect on the enjoyment of the experience. This horseback ride was another of my highlights of the trip.

Here's me on JC. JC liked to be second in line and when another horse got in front of his place, he got antsy.

JC also liked to trot (which we weren't supposed to do). I quite enjoyed it for several seconds at a time.

This was one of the views I had while riding JC.

One last photo of me in Denali before photos of the McKinley Explorer (train) photos.

Here's me, sporting my Troy Tulowitzki t-shirt being hugged by a BIG bear.

After adventures in Denali National Park and horseback riding, we headed south on the McKinley Explorer (train) to Anchorage, AK where the tour ended.

Here's the outside of the McKinley Explorer. The upper portion was where the seats were, enabling us to see wonderful views of the scenery.

The lower portion was the dining car.

We took this train from Fairbanks to Denali. After the stop in Denali, we boarded it again to head to Anchorage.

This is a shot from inside the McKinley Exporer.

Note the 'glass' roof which enabled us to get fantastic views of the country side.

Mt. McKinley. Apparently, seeing a view like this is not at all common.

And finally, here're me, Becky, and Jeff having dinner in the dining car.
